Daniel Mansoor

Daniel Mansoor is a 40+ year veteran of the nonprofit and philanthropy sector. He is the founder of the GoodWorks Group, which provides fundraising consulting and training services to a diverse range of organizations. Mansoor's approach is to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence of client leaders, staff, volunteers, and boards, leading to sustained fundraising success and secured lifetime relationships with donors.

Dan believes that by focusing on people, creativity, and the science of giving, nonprofits can successfully secure their share of the nearly $1 billion in charitable support that is given away by individuals – every day!

He began his career at Cornell University and served as senior vice president for development and alumni affairs at Brandeis University. In addition to his professional practice, he served as chair of the Council on Foundation's Family Foundation Conference (2004), and as adjunct faculty at Case Western Reserve University, teaching graduate students about fundraising and philanthropy at the Mandel School. With his passion for philanthropy and Ithaca, New York, he worked with community leaders to found the Community Foundation of Tompkins County (2000). Recently, after serving as a consultant identifying a new approach to development at United Way of Greater Cleveland, Mansoor helped implement transformational innovations as its vice president of resource development.
